General information
“DESA” stands for Digital Entrepreneur Self Accelerator. This means that this program is designed to empower you to help yourself succeed as a business expert or digital entrepreneur. Regardless of your future choice of career, through DESA you will gain valuable abilities and experience to be a talent with entrepreneurial spirit and skill set.
The DESA program is fully sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education, Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT) under the “Career Advancement Program (KPT-CAP) to support unemployed graduates in improving their employability and widening career opportunities.
DESA will enable you to accelerate your career and personal growth in the world of Digital Business. Firstly, you will be developing your expertise in Digital Business.
About the 1-month training
The DESA program consists of 2 parts. The first part is a 1-month Professional Certificate training in Digital Business Development. The second part is a 6-months of guided entrepreneurship with redONE, with long-term career opportunities with redONE. For more information, kindly refer to the information above.
The program is conducted online to allow Malaysians from different areas to join the program and benefit from DESA. Participants will require a device (e.g. laptop or tablet) with internet connection.
The first intake for the DESA program will commence on 28th November 2022, with application deadline on 9th November 2022. The dates for subsequent intakes will be in 2023.
The 1-month training is thoughtfully designed where each class builds up your knowledge and skills progressively. Some classes involve activities to empower you to learn effectively. Importantly, a minimum attendance of 80% is required to attain the UTM/UTMSPACE Professional Certificate.
Upon successful completion of the 1-month training, you will be awarded a Certificate by UTM/UTMSPACE. Upon successful completion of the 6-months guided entrepreneurship, you will be awarded a Certificate by redONE.
About the Long Term Career Opportunities
After the 1-month Professional Certificate training, you will progress to undertake the 6-months guided entrepreneurship with redONE as a Digital Entrepreneur where you will be earning an income through successful sales of redONE products and services. In the long-term, you can opt to build your own business within the redONE entrepreneur network, or secure a full-time position in redONE.
Within the 6-months, you will experience zero-risk entrepreneurship where you will be gaining on-the-ground experience of sales and business development. redONE will be supporting you in your journey, with mentorship with seasoned experts and further training in digital business & sales. Through these opportunities, you will develop your expertise in Digital Business and learn entrepreneurial skills that will help you succeed in your chosen career.
About the Application Process
You can begin your application by filling in the Application Form. Subsequently, you will be invited to an automated virtual interview. Upon successful selection, an Official Offer Letter will be issued.
